yesterday would have been my ninth wedding anniversary
still really unsure of how to categorise my feelings on days like those, considering my engagement to SJ.
M was vey much on my mind during yesterday, as was our day, all those years ago. memories kept exploding in my head, helped along by not so subtle little reminders, “torn” (one of his favourite songs) played randomly on the radio at the hairdressers, tulips & iris’ (my wedding bouquet) as a floral arrangement at a clothing shop i visited with my mum.
our wedding day was awesome.
part of me knows you & i would have eventually put our differences to rest and been friends, but you would have fought hard, long & no doubt passionately, instead the universe decided to play the decider. oh and by the way our boy, he’s amazing. we did good there.
so, here’s to you, M, happy anniversary.
i know you’re still hanging around (you always were stubborn) & it’s kind of comforting.
